Love the tankards but the bowls do not seem to be microwave safe.
After three of four years, I have not had one crack, but when the bowl is ‘ouch!’ hot and the food is not even (or barely) warm, it is a clear indication that the clay still has too much moisture. Love the bowls except for this one complaint.
I only use them mostly for cold cereal now. If I do put one in the microwave, I set on top of a paper plate or use oven mittens to avoid being burned.
